You can improve your job search technique and connect with the right employers without struggle and frustration. The key is to create a solid plan, get support and take action.
I’ve been working with job seekers for over 13 years and I know what works. It’s not enough to submit your resume and hope for the best. You need to apply these three principles of job searching:
- know what you want: a clearly defined job target
- know how to get what you want: a clear road map that outlines the specific steps you will take and job search strategies you will use
- take action, consistently: a commitment to actively pursuing your job target
I designed The Fast Track Virtual Job Search Program for frustrated job seekers who want to connect with satisfying jobs in less time with less frustration. It’s a structured program that provides job search support and tools. As you progress through the program you will be implementing effective techniques and getting real time feedback and support to keep you on track. By participating in the program you will go from being frustrated with your job search to being confident and gaining momentum.

Here’s how the program works
For 12 weeks between January and March, 2009, you’ll meet virtually by telephone with me and a small group of job seekers. Each weekly meeting will focus on a specific component of the job search, and you’ll get tips and support in implementing the techniques. Using the power of the group, you’ll get feedback and additional insight to keep you motivated and successful.
Between the group meetings, you’ll have one-one coaching time with me. You can use that time to check in on your progress and address specific challenges you’re facing.
The program will kick off with a 1 hour orientation session on Monday, January 12, 2009 and continue until Monday, March 9, 2009.
All you need is computer access, a telephone and a willing spirit.
In the program, you’ll learn skills to:
- define your job target
- capitalize on your strengths to achieve the best results
- create a resume and cover letter that gets you noticed
- crack the hidden job market
- leverage social media tools such as linked in and facebook to connect and generate leads
- accelerate your job search
