Joan FriedlanderJoan Friedlander is the co-author of the new book, "Women, Work and Autoimmune Disease: Keep Working Girlfriend!" Joan founded a national coaching and training company in 2000, working with home-based business owners to build a successful, functional business working just 35 hours a week. She helps her clients with life-work management, marketing questions and with building virtual teams.

When Joan was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease in 1992, that, at times, would rob her of her energy, abilities and focus, she had to face and manage new and different challenges in the workplace. Join Markell Steele, when she and Joan discuss why people have a difficult time talking about chronic illnesses - especially in the workplace, what challenges are encountered in the workplace, and how to continue working even while living with the unpredictability of a chronic illness.
